New York State Police have confirmed the death of a 15-year-old Goshen High School student on Sunday from a possible accidental drug overdose.

In a statement sent to parents, School Superintendent Dr. Kurtis Kotes says the sophomore was a "beloved member of our school community and he will be missed immensely. Losing a child is an unspeakable tragedy."

The district says it has counseling staff and the countywide crisis team available to students and staff to offer support and counseling.
