Police: 16-year-old fatally stabbed outside Arlington High School; former student charged

Police arrested an 18-year-old after a 16-year-old Dutchess County student was fatally stabbed outside Arlington High School following a football game on Friday night.

Police arrested an 18-year-old after a 16-year-old Dutchess County student was fatally stabbed outside Arlington High School following a football game on Friday night.
News 12 was told there was a fight after the game against Scarsdale and that police were called for a stabbing around 9 p.m. The 16-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died from injuries.
The Dutchess County sheriff's deputies arrested Nestor Ortiz-Ocampo, of Poughkeepsie, and charged him with manslaughter. He is a former student of Arlington High School.
Ortiz-Ocampo was expected to be arraigned Saturday.
News 12 reached out to the school board president to ask about security, but didn't hear back.
The Dutchess County sheriff's office is asking anyone who may have any information to contact the bureau at 845-486-3820.
