Two people are recovering from injuries they sustained during a stabbing and shooting incident that took place near a Yonkers gas station Thursday night.

Police say the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. in the area of the Shell Gas Station on Ashburton and Nepperhan avenues.

Police say they found one male with a gunshot wound to his leg and another with a stab wound in the abdomen when they arrived at the scene. Both victims are currently in stable condition, according to authorities.

Police believe the incident stemmed from an argument, and say there is no threat to the public.
