The NYPD is currently investigating two separate attacks at Brooklyn subway stations.
One incident took place at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, where police say a 30-year-old woman was slashed in the face.
Officials believe the attack was unprovoked, and say that the attacker also punched a 47-year-old woman while trying to flee the incident.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals tonight and are in stable condition.
A separate shooting incident took place at the Grant Avenue subway station. Police say a 19-year-old was shot in the left leg and taken to Brookdale Hospital.
Police have not made arrests in either incident, but commuters are on edge amid the recent violent transit issues.
NYPD’s statistics show that assaults on subways are up over 16% at this time compared to last year.
