Police arrest man accused of attacking woman in Monticello

Police arrested a man accused of violently attacking a woman in Monticello on Sunday. Officers say Daniel Burgos, 32, punched a woman repeatedly, leaving her with a serious eye injury and bleeding heavily from her face. Police were able to review nearby surveillance video that showed Burgos repeatedly hitting the woman and then dragging her into the road. Burgos is currently on parole for a separate crime. He was arrested and charged with felony assault.
