Putnam County police say they have arrested a Bronx man for stealing catalytic converters.
They say 38-year-old Nelson Ramirez targeted Putnam and Westchester counties and central Connecticut.
A school resource officer at the Putnam Valley High School got a report of a stolen catalytic converter in the school's parking lot back in March. Using surveillance video, investigators identified Ramirez as the suspect.
Ramirez was arrested on May 10 and faces multiple charges, including grand larceny and criminal mischief.
