Police: Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Newburgh
16h agoA Poughkeepsie man has been charged for allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car into a popular ice cream stand in Newburgh.
Town of Newburgh police say 29-year-old Shayane Reynolds was driving without a license when he lost control of his car and crashed into Mary Jane’s Dairy Bar on Route 9W Saturday afternoon.
Reynolds was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
He was charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license.
Police say Reynolds lost his driving privileges due to a previous drunk driving incident.
