Police say a woman was stabbed before police shot and killed a man in Southeast Tuesday afternoon.
Kent police received a call of a domestic dispute in Kent that involved an abduction around 9:45 a.m.
Putnam County sheriff deputies located the suspect's car in Southeast - that's when police say the suspect was seen to violently use a knife to assault a woman.
Police say the man was shot to stop the assault.
Officials also say that lifesaving efforts were performed in an attempt to save the suspect but were unsuccessful.
The relationship between the victim is not yet known at this time.
