State police say a husband and wife from upstate were the victims killed in Thursday’s five-vehicle crash on I-287.

State police say a husband and wife from upstate were the victims killed in Thursday’s five-vehicle crash on I-287.
They are identified as 62-year-old David Massarotti and his wife, 60-year-old Chandra Massarotti, of Schoharie County.
A dump truck traveling eastbound in the right lane struck a Chevy Colorado in the rear, which caused a chain reaction of events involving three other vehicles.
Two other drivers including the dump truck driver were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
News 12 is told the dump truck driver has been issued tickets and has cooperated in the ongoing investigation.
