Police identify driver in fatal Newburgh accident

Authorities say Charles Drury, 77, of Connecticut was driving eastbound near Exit 39 when his car hit the guardrail and flipped into the center median.

Police have released the name of the driver involved in the fatal Newburgh accident earlier this week.
Authorities say Charles Drury, 77, of Connecticut was driving eastbound near Exit 39 when his car hit the guardrail and flipped into the center median. Tragically, Drury was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car is said to still be in serious condition at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. The incident remains under investigation by authorities.
