Police are investigating multiple acts of violence in the City of Newburgh.
Authorities say a shooting around 1:30 a.m. left at least one person injured near Liberty and East Parmenter streets.
Neighbors say they heard seven or eight gunshots and saw people running from the area.
The location is across the street from Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site.
The victim was taken to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Police have not said whether anyone has been taken into custody.
