Police: Kingston man arrested after hitting, trying to choke woman

Ulster police say they went to a home on Lawrenceville Street in the Town of Ulster and found 26-year-old Davonte Jones had hit a woman and tried to choke her.

A Kingston man was arrested for a domestic dispute. 
Ulster police say they went to a home on Lawrenceville Street in the Town of Ulster and found 26-year-old Davonte Jones had hit a woman and tried to choke her. 
Police say she was left with some minor injuries. 
Investigators also say Jones grabbed the victim's cell phone to try to keep her from calling 911. 
He already made his first court appearance and was released until his next appearance.
The victim has an order of protection against him.
