A physical altercation Saturday morning left a 44-year-old Mahopac resident seriously injured, police say.
Carmel police say it happened in the area of Curry Road.
Brooks Lawrence, 32, of Connecticut, was detained and faces an attempted murder charge. He is currently being remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility without bail.
The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Details surrounding what led up to the altercation were not immediately available.
