A man in his 50s was fatally struck by a car Thursday night on the Bronx River Parkway in White Plains.
Police say the victim was walking in the direction of oncoming traffic when a vehicle in the left lane struck him just south of Main Street around 7:45 p.m.
The driver remained at the scene, according to authorities.
Police say several drivers witnessed the crash, including two nurses who gave the man medical aid. He was later pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center.
Police are withholding the victim’s name until his family is notified.
Authorities say the incident is under investigation and that no charges have been filed.
