A man was stabbed outside of a bodega on North Main Street in Spring Valley just before10 p.m. Tuesday night

The victim's life hung in the balance as he was rushed to Nyack Hospital due to severe bleeding.

Despite the swift response of Spring Valley police, the assailant managed to evade capture, sparking an intense search operation. The Rockland County Sheriff's Office, along with their K-9 unit, was summoned to assist in tracking down the suspect.

Residents living in the vicinity of the bodega have voiced their concerns about the establishment's ongoing issues, including open drinking.
