4h agoA man faces charges after leading Mount Vernon police on a two-hour long chase Tuesday afternoon.
Police were searching for a BMW since 2 p.m. when they tried to stop the driver on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway.
The driver pulled over to the shoulder and put the car in reverse, narrowly missing the patrol car.
Police say the BMW sped off and officers stopped the chase for safety reasons.
Authorities then spotted the BMW again around 3 p.m. and chased the driver on foot.
Easton Spencer, 28, faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment.
