Police confirm that a suspect in a New Rochelle bank robbery this week has been arrested.
The suspect is a librarian at New Rochelle Public Library, they say.
Police say 56-year-old Mary Thompson robbed Chase Bank on North Avenue. She slipped the teller a note claiming to have a gun and demanding $100,000, according to authorities.
She left with about $7,000 in cash but was arrested shortly after.
Thompson faces a robbery charge.
