A postal worker was injured during a robbery in the town of Poughkeepsie, police say.

Police say the postal worker was approached by two people who assaulted him and stole property. They say the victim had to be hospitalized but has since been released.

The two robbers are still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
