A pregnant teenager was arrested Saturday for allegedly stabbing her long-time boyfriend in the chest in Mount Vernon, police say.
Police officers arrived at 275 South Columbus Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Friday to discover Tiquan Maddox, 23, lying on the floor with a single stab wound to his chest. Maddox was rushed to Mount Vernon Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Maddox's girlfriend, 17-year-old Brittany Myers, of White Plains, was charged with first-degree manslaughter. Myers is five months pregnant with the victim's child. Police believe the stabbing was a result of domestic violence.
Myers is being held at the Westchester County Jail. She is expected to be arraigned Monday.
