Police in Goshen are looking for a woman behind what appears to be a fake call Tuesday night after they say the caller claimed she killed her father and was going to hurt herself. 

Town police say the woman said she shot her father. Officers checked a house on Knoell Road in Goshen, but no one there was harmed or missing when they arrived. 

Authorities say the woman claimed to be in emotional distress at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery but that they also found no one there. 

Police say the incident is under investigation.
