Police rescue alligator from creek in Garnerville

The alligator was given to the Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona.

Haverstraw police officers rescued an alligator that appeared in a Garnerville creek on Thursday.

Officers safely removed the animal from the water. It was then given to the Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona.

It is unclear how the alligator got into the creek.
