Police are searching for two female suspects wanted in connection with a string of wallet thefts in Rockland and New Jersey.
According to police, a doctor in Suffern had her wallet stolen from her office sometime during the day on July 20 by a woman sitting in her waiting room. The doctor says $300 in cash and three credit cards were inside her wallet at the time. She says a total of $6,000 was charged to her credit cards at multiple locations in New Jersey.
Police say the suspects struck several towns in New Jersey by distracting store and office workers, then plucking their wallets. Clarkstown police say a similar incident occurred at the Huntington Learning Center in Nanuet Thursday, where two debit cards were stolen from a woman's wallet. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ramapo police at 845-357-2400.
