Police say they intercepted 221 pounds of marijuana worth $1 million that was shipped from California to Orange County Friday.
Police say Charles DeYoung, from Ulster County, traveled to the West Coast, packed the marijuana into a container and hired shipping company ABF to deliver the load to Montgomery.
According to investigators, DeYoung planned to pick up the shipment from a warehouse on Bracken Road, but ABF workers became suspicious and called authorities.
Judge has set DeYoung's bail at $10,000. Police also arrested William Brereton, from Ulster County, on a minor drug possession charge.
