Police: Several arrested after sting to catch businesses selling alcohol to minors

Four establishments illegally sold an alcoholic beverage to a minor, resulting in four arrests.

State police have arrested several people as part of a sting operation to catch businesses selling alcohol to minors.
The Underage Drinking Initiative involved the investigation of 17 retail establishments in the Cortlandt area.
A trooper in plain clothes and an underage operative used a valid New York driver's license.
Thirteen businesses refused to sell any alcoholic beverages to the underage operative.  
Four establishments illegally sold an alcoholic beverage to a minor, resulting in four arrests.
All four face misdemeanor charges.
State police say they perform these operations to curb alcohol abuse and DWI incidents involving teenagers.
