Police are investigating an apparent shooting overnight in the City of Newburgh after shell casings were found near a car that crashed into a pole, according to an official source.
News 12 obtained a photo of the scene from a witness who said the vehicle was riddled with bullet holes where it crashed early Tuesday morning on the corner of South and Dubois streets. The witness said they saw a helicopter overhead, seemingly searching for a suspect or suspects.

News 12 reached out to the City of Newburgh for information and is waiting to hear back. No word on whether anyone was injured.
