yesterdayA shot was fired in Yonkers Wednesday evening near the intersection of South Broad and Highland, police say.
They say the shot fired stemmed from an assault that took place around 5:30 p.m.
At least two men allegedly jumped, and pistol-whipped another man. At the end of the assault, police say one of the suspects fired a shot.
Police tell News 12 no one was struck by the shot.
The victim of the assault is being evaluated at a hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
