Police say it used spikes to try to stop a car during a Friday night pursuit in the Town of Bedford.

Detectives say the chase happened on the Saw Mill River Parkway.

Officers used spikes to try to stop the vehicle near Cherry Street, but it did not work.

It was not immediately clear as of Friday night if a suspect had been taken into custody.
