Police are still searching for the suspect who opened fire on a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers during Friday night's rush-hour.
Investigators say shots were fired about 5 p.m. when the northbound bus number 257, which is on the number 4 line, stopped to let passengers off and on at the intersection of South Broadway and Ludlow Street.
An 18-year-old male was hit in the leg. He was rushed to the hospital and police say his injuries were not life threatening and he is expected to survive.
According to investigators, the bus driver told police the shots were fired not long after he picked up a group of people, and the driver thought that group may have had something to do with the shooting.
There were about 30 other passengers on the bus at the time who quickly ran off. Police say the group who may have been involved in the shooting, ran north on Broadway.
Yonkers and Westchester County police are working the case. They spent hours working the scene and processing the bus.
Bee-Line busses have been running on their normal schedules since the incident.
