Town of Montgomery police say a Valley Central Schools student is accused of using a radio to make threats.

They say a neighboring fire department heard a threat on their radio frequency from someone trying to disguise their voice.

Police found the radio they say was used, and the kid accused of making the threats admitted to it.

Out of an abundance of caution, extra police officers were sent to schools.
