A teacher in New Rochelle found a bullet in a middle school hallway.

New Rochelle police and the district say the teacher spotted the bullet Thursday afternoon.

The school did a hold-in-place as police and district security investigated.

They found the school was safe to go back to normal, and there was no immediate threat to students or staff.

There is no word on how the bullet got there.
