An Ulster County man is facing several charges following a domestic dispute.

According to the County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the incident in Napanoch last Thursday around 3 p.m.

En route, they learned that the 48-year-old man, who remains unidentified, had fled after causing harm to a female victim.

Officials located the man driving, but he refused to pull over, resulting in a pursuit. Due to safety concerns, police eventually halted the chase, but the man was apprehended the following day.

He has been arrested on charges of assault, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and reckless driving. After arraignment, he was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Meanwhile, the woman was taken to Ellenville Regional Hospital with minor injuries. She has since obtained a restraining order against the man.
