The City of Rye Police Department is reminding residents to lock their cars after a second vehicle was reported stolen in two weeks.

It happened early Tuesday morning after the resident left their keys inside the vehicle. Police say the vehicle was seen leaving the city around 3:45 a.m.

Police are urging residents to always lock their vehicle doors and never leave keys or key fobs inside. You should also remove any valuables from your car whenever you're not inside.

This incident also comes after a man was arrested after surveillance video allegedly showed him breaking into a car and targeting several others in a nearby Mamaroneck neighborhood.

Anyone who sees something suspicious happening near their vehicle or in their neighborhood is urged to report it to their local police department.
