Police: Woman killed when car crashes into Yonkers home

Police say a 70-year-old woman was walking along North Broadway when she was fatally struck by the vehicle.

One person is dead after a car crashed right into a home Sunday night in Yonkers.
Police say the accident happened on North Broadway just before 7 p.m.
They say a 70-year-old Yonkers woman was walking along the sidewalk when she was fatally struck by a car driven by a 54-year-old woman from White Plains.
That woman was taken the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The car was still at the crash site as of Sunday night at 693 North Broadway.
News 12 was told three women were inside the home watching television when the car crashed.
A family member who rushed to the scene said her relatives suffered some injuries before they went to the hospital to be treated.
It was not immediately clear what caused the driver to lose control.
Police and investigators were still at the scene of the crash as of Sunday night.
