A Yonkers mother is facing charges for allegedly leaving her two children locked in a hot car on Thursday, the first day of summer.

The NYPD says 34-year-old Haniyah Agoro is in custody and facing two counts of acting in a manor injurious to her 7-year-old and 10-year-old children.

The engine was off, and the windows were up.

Surveillance video shows the mom getting out of the car and walking up the block. Police arrived on the scene 18 minutes later.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the inside of a car can reach 109 degrees within 20 minutes, and children can die when their body temperature reaches 107 degrees.

The two children were taken to the hospital and did not sustain any injuries.
