Family and friends said their goodbyes today to a Pomona man who was killed and burned in his apartment last week.
Funeral services for Jason Ognenoff, 37, were held at this morning at St. Peter's Church in Haverstraw. Mourners remembered Ognenoff as a fun loving guy with a big smile.
Police say the disabled man was stabbed to death at the hands of his ex-girlfriend, Jodi Ann Hemmings, 23, of New York City. They say Hemmings also set Ognenoff's Pomona apartment on fire last Thursday to try and cover up the murder.
Meanwhile, Hemmings is being held at the Rockland County Jail.
