It comes after an online petition made by Elmsford resident Jennifer Glenn received over 1,400 signatures.
The petition called on the state Department of Transportation to fix a stretch of Route 9A.
Glenn also reached out to state and local leaders, who helped bring the issue to the state DOT.
Prepping is already underway and is expected to start re-milling and paving in early October.
