A handful of Hudson Valley malls are now no longer requiring vaccinated people to wear masks, including one in Dutchess County,
Vaccinated people don't need to wear a mask at the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall.
Some people News 12 spoke to said it feels great, while others aren't used to seeing maskless faces indoors.
Many people were still wearing theirs - either because they aren't fully vaccinated, they didn't realize they could take it off or they don't feel comfortable pulling it down yet.
While vaccinated people don't have to wear masks in common areas of the mall, businesses can still require shoppers to mask up.
The mall says it is strongly encouraging everyone to wear masks with COVID-19 still out there.
