A popular Hudson Valley business owner has been severely injured in a scooter accident in Hawaii.
Keavan "Doc" Rivers, of Poughkeepsie, was hit by two cars and dragged a long distance while riding a scooter in Hawaii on Friday.
Friends tell News 12 that he suffered a punctured lung, a broken neck, a broken back and 10 broken ribs.
Rivers is the owner of Doc Rivers Electric Tattoo in Poughkeepsie. However he's also known for his charity work in the Hudson Valley, purchasing and building bikes that he then donates to local kids in need.
His family and friends set up a GoFundMe page to help Rivers pay for his medical costs. So far, the page has raised over $9,000.
