A Poughkeepsie man will spend one year in jail for a crash in Red Hook that killed a recent Bard College graduate.
Rohan Patrick was sentenced Tuesday in Dutchess County Court.
Last May, 25-year-old Ling Hong Nguyen was struck and killed when Patrick's car jumped the curb on Route 9.
Nguyen had just earned her master's degree from Bard College.
Patrick pleaded guilty last year to criminally negligent homicide. He admitted to speeding while drowsy at the time of the crash.
