President Joe Biden was in the Hudson Valley on Saturday to give the commencement address at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
"You're about to become full-time members of the most honorable and the most consequential fighting force in this history of the world," Biden said.
The president also presented diplomas to some distinguished cadets. More than 1,000 students graduated this year, according to academy officials.
The cadets are now second lieutenants in the Army, some of which are from Westchester. Maximus Marchi is from Hartsdale and went to Ardsley High School. The graduate said he is now preparing for his next big adventure – an interservice commission at the United State Space Force in Colorado Springs.
