President Donald Trump has endorsed Congressman Mike Lawler for reelection in New York's 17th Congressional District.

Trump announced his endorsement on Truth Social Tuesday night, calling Lawler a "strong champion and highly effective representative." He praised Lawler for his work on border security, economic growth, tax reductions, and supporting the military, veterans, and law enforcement.

Lawler is seeking a third term in Congress in next year’s election.

New York’s 17th Congressional District includes Rockland and Putnam counties, most of northern Westchester County, and parts of southern Dutchess County.
