The Putnam Sheriff's Department is investigating a car crash on Route 9 in Phillipstown.
On Monday morning, deputies responded to a two-car crash near Lyons Road.
Deputies say 81-year-old Howard Gordon, of Pomona, told them he thinks he fell asleep while driving north on Route 9.
His car reportedly hit a guide rail and bounced off into the other lane where it hit the side of a dump truck that 50-year-old Carlos Miranda, from Fishkill, was driving.
Gordon was flown to Westchester Medical Center with what seem to be injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Miranda, the dump truck driver, and his passenger weren't hurt.
No charges have been filed.
