A suspicious incident on Thursday led to an increased police presence at school bus stops in Ramapo.
Police say that on Sept. 22 between 7:15 and 7:40 a.m., a male driving a gray four-door sedan approached a student waiting for her bus.
The suspect allegedly told the child he knew her mother and asked to drive her to school.
The child ran away, and her parent confirmed that she did not ask anyone to transport her daughter.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Ramapo Police Department.
