Red Cross shelter providing help to fire victims in Spring Valley closes

The American Red Cross shelter that was providing help to dozens of Spring Valley residents who were displaced by a fire at the Harvest House senior living apartments earlier this week closed Friday night.
The shelter at Louis Kurtz Civic Center was a haven for 22 residents in need of help after the fire on Union Road on Wednesday.
The Red Cross said it will continue to help those who were displaced, even with the shelter closed.
Red Cross caseworkers are available to point residents to government and nonprofit for long term recovery needs.
