Red Hook summer camp to resume Thursday after it was closed due to COVID-19 cluster

Officials are still keeping a close eye on a COVID-19 cluster in Red Hook that temporarily closed a local summer camp.
News 12 has learned from the county that Red Hook's summer camp will be resuming Thursday, and at this point, there are no additional cases linked to the small COVID-19 cluster that caused the program to close for two days.
The incident prompted the county to issue a reminder about COVID-19 safety measures.
"Wash your hands. Remember to practice good hygiene. If you're not feeling well don't engage in those social activities, no matter what. You don't want to transmit any virus. And at the same time, get the answers to your questions as it relates to the vaccine and we hope you choose to get vaccinated," said Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro.
Red Hook officials tell News 12 that of the adults and children who made up those cases, all were showing mild or no symptoms, and several are vaccinated adults.
News 12 was told one case was an 8-year-old who was last at the summer camp on July 14 and tested positive on July 16.
