Hudson Valley is getting $20 million in funding for community projects.
The money is going to projects including the City School District of New Rochelle, Montefiore Medical Center, and the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-16) announced the funding, saying it's his way of thanking every local organization for putting heart into supporting our communities. "Our goal here is to make sure we identify children and families who are at risk and have needs, identifying who they are, identify what those needs are and then bring in the resources to support them."
Bowman represents Congressional District 16, which also includes sections of the Bronx.
