Rep. Pat Ryan was confronted on Wednesday by a dozen ceasefire protesters during the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting in Kingston.

Ryan was supposed to address issues related to the business community but was interrupted by protesters who held signs and demanded that he support an immediate ceasefire in the fighting in Gaza.

Since the Oct. 7 attack, Ryan has faced increasing pressure, including vandalism to his Newburgh office and a recent attempt by a crowd to forcibly enter his office earlier this month.
