As cinemas begin welcoming guests back to their auditoriums, one theater chain is not as lucky.
Alamo Draft House filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday. The company has more than 40 theaters across the country, including one in Yonkers.
Alamo was a different experience in which moviegoers could grab a bite, a drink at the bar and catch a flick at the same time.
Bloomberg reports the company has more than $100 million in debt and that affiliates of Fortress Investment agreed to buy the company out of bankruptcy.
Requests to Alamo Draft House for a statement and the future of the Yonkers location, which has been boarded up since the beginning of the pandemic, have not yet been returned.
