Republican Christine Sculti has confirmed to News 12 that she will take on George Latimer in the race for county executive in November.
Sculti served eight years in Westchester County government in the Rob Astorino administration and also worked in Yonkers for former Mayor Phil Amicone.
Sculti currently serves as the vice chair of the Saint Pio Foundation Board of Directors, and she works as executive assistant to the commissioner of the Westchester County Board of Elections. She is an appointee of the Village of Mamaroneck Tree Committee and is a member of the Orienta Condominium Association Board of Managers.
Sculti is a graduate of Fordham University and currently resides in Mamaroneck.
She tells News 12 she hopes to bring what she calls "common sense" back to county government.
Latimer announced his run for reelection exclusively to News 12 earlier this year.
