Residential intergenerational learning and retirement community now at SUNY Purchase campus
Broadview at SUNY Purchase is the only university-based retirement community in New York and the first in the nation to be located on a college campus.
Senior citizens have officially moved into their new home on the campus of SUNY Purchase.
In the fall of 2023, Broadview at Purchase College was launched. Broadview is a residential intergenerational learning and retirement community for adults 62 and up on the college campus.
The senior residents had a mixer with some of the college students on Thursday afternoon.
"The truth is the people who came here because they want to continue their learning. They're youthful in their minds, their bodies might not be as youthful but that's the thing that drew us to this place," said Mary Jane Karger, Broadview At Purchase College president.
